Deborah Lippman Fever

Pin It This is my first Deborah Lippman. It's called Deborah Lippmann Fever. It's an oldie one. A friend of mine gave me part of her stash and this one was among the other bottles. I asked her if she didn't want this one. She said no. What????? Welcome to you new home DL :) The name of it is very appropriate. It's a very hot coral with red undertones bathed with subtle gold shimmer to it. It show more on the bottle than on the nails though :( too bad. But I am happy to use my first Deborah Lippmann :)

No flash pictures above.

Under flash. You are able to see the shimmer I am talking about huh?

Nicole by OPI Sealed with a Kris

Pin It A quick post for you guys. I have Nicole by OPI Sealed with a Kris from the Kardashian Collection in 2011. I loved rich cream nail polishes. Specially in red tones :) This one is just perfect with 2 coats. Again, I can't denied how hideous NOPI nail polish bottles are. It's been a while now I have bought any of them. I really hate their bottles and sometimes want to put the polish in another descent bottle so I can use it. I am planing on not ever buying NOPI just because of their saggy boob bottles. They don't sit well on my shelf, it's hard to hold on to it and it's hard to hold them for a picture. Anyways, the color that came from on of their bottles today is indeed beautiful though.
What's your opinions on NOPI nail polish bottles?

Milani Spring 2012 - Part II

Pin It  Milani, oh Milani I heart you and your colors, high pigmentation, great application and wear are making my nails fall in love with you so bad.
What I have here to show you guys is the second part of the Spring 2012 shades Milani is bringing to us. What I can tell you is: these polishes look way prettier when on your nails. I didn't expect much when i saw them from the bottle. But ladies, I gotta tell you Milani again has impressed me. They do know what they are doing and they know how to make good polish for a good price.

There are 10 new different colors and among them we can find creams and shimmers. There are some colors that they are just basic regular color we can find anywhere but the quality is a must have for sure. For these swatches I used Milani base and top coat. Some of the polishes I had to apply 2 coats for full coverage but most of them are just one coater - Milani doesn't even claim they can be one coat polishes. I looooveee one coat nail polishes. it saves me so much time! Now, to the pictures. Get a drink of water, coffee or whatever and enjoy these :)

NATURAL TOUCH - it's a plain cream nude. One coat of it and you have full coverage.

HIPSTER PLUM - one coat of this beautiful creme dark plum. Love it!

FUCHSIA FIERCE - that is definitely a one coater nail polish. It's a cream hot pink with red undertones to it. It looks like the red/corals/pinks from the other Milani polish I have recently posted here but no, they are not dupes. They are indeed different.

U PINKY SWEAR - a bubble gum pastel pink. Just lovely! Great application but I had to use here 2 coats for full coverage which is fine. Super cute this color here :)

PINK SLIPPERS - this is a nude shade with a twist. There is some pink shimmer to it. If you don't like bold colors Milani has heard you. This one is for you :) 2 coats.

PINK & PROPER - One of my favorites right here. It's a shimmer coral with brown rose undertones. I could have done this one with just one coat but came down to 2 coats though. Beautiful!

JUST GRAYT - yeah, it's like its name. It's just a gray but let me tell you , the formula is perfect. I have 2 coats for that swatch. I am a sucker for grays and I have to say this is one of my favorites too :)

A ROSE MYLADY - oh how lovely. Another nude pale pink with some subtle shimmer. Two coats!

MORNING COFFEE -  not a big fan of brown polishes but this ones is soooo glossy and pretty I can't say otherwise. It also makes me drool thinking that I have my nails covered in milk chocolate. Yummy polish :)

CHOCOLATE SPRINKLE - and speaking of chocolate here we have this precious that's the last but not least. I under estimated that polish by its bottle. When I put on my nails I was like "Wowwwwwww'. Again, like I said, I am not a fan of browns but this one again makes an especial exception. Milani can you hear me? You are doing such a great job and I love you. Ladies, I think you all should grab a bottle of Milani Chocolate Sprinkle. Seriously! That one is my favorite among of all the ones I swatched above. It's one coater (that makes it even more awesome), application is wonderful and it shows super glossy. Chocolate Sprinkle is nothing like I am able to find in my nail polish stash. It's a chocolate brown packed with metalic gold shimmer that if you look pretty close or under the light you can kinda find a beautiful color spectrum in there. It's gorgeous period.

What do you think? Any favorites here? Have you tried Milani before? Do you also think they have been doing a great job with their nail polish formulas? Leave me a comment!!

Pin It  This post was posted on 04/16/2012. UPDATED: today 04/ 22/ 2012

I really apologize people. I set this post to be posted last week but apparently it didn't work out. I set up to be post in 2013 LoL
So, no more talking about how over the place I am lately. Let's get to Trind Nail & Hand cosmetics.
I got these beauties here to review and I am so happy I got to use their products. These nail polishes are manufactured in The Netherlands but we have a distributor here in the States.

This is what Trind says about their products:

"We focus primarily on Natural Nail Care in developing natural nails building strength and flexibility.  Approximately 80% of the women’s population simply have problems with their natural nails based on two primary fundaments.

1) Environmental influences
2) Hormonal Changes

Our base on counter-acting these two influences (for the majority of natural nail problems) is building a balance of moisture and developing strength.

Once we have achieved this action then we can focus on Fashion for the natural nail COLOR!  With our caring color polishes that maintain the natural nails integrity while providing a beautiful color!Polishes are known to negatively affect the nail plate! Not with Trind’s Caring Color Polish! WHO CARES???? TRIND DOES!!!!! With its Caring Color Polish! Developing a reason to carefully select a color polish!!!!"

My first impression of the product was "Oh my gosh, how cute are their bottles!!"  Those are unique bottle for sure. But they are not only cute. Those caps are really nice and has an anatomical function to it on application. It's so easy to hold to it. Absolutely love it!
I have here 5 colors to show you. I have 2 coats on all of the pictures. All of them had great application. No complaints. The only big frustration for me is that Trind don't name their colors with fun names. They only go by names. Boring! I know. I was expecting something whimsical to fit with the bottle shape. Don't you think I am right? If you have suggestions for naming these colors leave a comment. Let's do justice to those cute bottles giving them names :) Let's inspire Trind. Now to the pictures.

CC111 - this is a metallic pink with gray undertones to it. I was afraid of that one cause I don't like metallic finishes but I am really impressed. It's not streaky and it applies really easy.

CC108 - a bright shimmery hot pink. I found its formula to be a title too runny but it still worked with only 2 coats.

CC118 - one of my favorites here. That is a dark shimmery ruby. It's gorgeous!! The formula is very pigmented I almost didn't need 2 coats. Super pretty!! I didn't want to take it off my nails.

CC133 - a tomato red glitter. I have here 3 coats for full coverage. It look more red in person than on the picture. That colors calls the name "PARTY". It's so fun!

CC114 - the picture above and below are the same polish color. The difference is the above has no flash and below is with flash. Another favorite here. This is a orange coral with very fine and subtle silver shimmer to it. This is soooooo summer. I think it would be a great color for a pedi. Don;t you think?

CC135 - and the last one but not the least. Again, another favorite of mine. This is a woww color. I love blues and this is is no exception. This color is sooooo glossy I can't believe it. Detail: I have no top coat on.

China Glaze The Hunger Games

Pin It I am so behind on my posts. I am trying to work things out with my little time. It's been hard for me to swatch, then edit my pictures, then post and write on my posts here. Life has been super crazy busy.
But anyways, this mani is from a while back when the movie The Hunger Games first came out. This was what I used :)
There were the only two polishes I got from China Glaze The Hunger Games collection. I didn't like all of their colors or either I had them or could find easy dupes for some of those.
here I have China Glaze Luxe and Lush over China Glaze Smoke and Ashes. What a combination! Love it!

And below is China Glaze Smoke and Ashes by itself. Too bad you can't see the green/goldish very much on the pictures. But it's very pretty in person.

What colors do you have from that collection?Do you have those 2 above? How do you like them?

China Glaze Purple Panic (neon) - Pink Wednesday

Pin It This is bright. This is pink. This is fun. And I like it!! this is China Glaze Purple Panic (neon). it dries matte. Super cool!

But I am not a fan of matte finishes and I put some glossy SV as a top coat. To make it mooooreeeee vibrant. I am really linking this pink!

How do you like it?

Zoya Cynthia

Pin It Do you know when you want a polish so bad so bad and then you get it and then you don't like it ? Ok, here I introduce you Zoya Cynthia. It's a deep grayed/blackened navy blue. Very unique and beautiful color indeed but the formula is weird. Oh so weird. Maybe I got a dud bottle? The formula dries out on brush very quickly. It's just odd. And here I am frustrated :(
Do you have this color? How do you like it?

Priti NYC Dandy Dahlia

Pin It How was your Easter weekend everyone? Hope it was a good one!
Over here was really busy. I cooked for 10 people and Easter dinner was at my house. I am mastering the Easter menu and my homemade rolls was a hit!
I love having people over but I've been so busy I don't get to enjoy it a lot cause my mind is on the next thing I need to do. Bad. I know.
I had an Easter mani but don't know where I placed my flashcard :( will post pictures when I find it.
But anyways, weather is looking a lot more like Spring lately except last week we had a snow storm that came out of nowhere. It melted right away though by a shinny bright warm sun. And that calls for some bright colors on my nails!
Here I have Priti NYC Dandy Dahlia. Pictures show it to be a little too brighter than it really is in real life. It's more like a peach orange packed with fine gold shimmer to it. Sad that we can't see that on the pictures that doesn't really make justice to this polish. It's beautiful in person. I am in love with this shade. Priti NYC have really good polishes from formula, colors to application, brush. Plus, it's a 3free and non-toxic polish. Gotta love it! Read more about Priti NYC HERE.

Visit Priti NYC on Facebook.  I am still trying to get used to the new Facebook timeline and Priti NYC have one of my favorites. Head on over there and LIKE them HERE!!

Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer - Spring 2012

Pin It Thank goodness for weekend yayyy! I can reunite myself to my polish world and forget about my busy week.
Here I have for you Milani High Speed Fast Dry Nail Lacquer for Spring 2012. Milani comes with 8 colors for this collection. Some bright and bold stuff here besides the usual white and black.
Overall they are all great, good application, excellent formula, these one comes with a flat brush - which I really really like it and besides it says they can be one coater I still did two coats. And that is try what they claim: these polishes do dry fast. All of these swatches are with no top coat. I know, they are soooo glossy and I love it.
Milani has a special spot in my heart! I think they really know what they are doing and they want the best for their clients.
Retails price for these: $4.99 at drugstores, Target and Walmart ( yeah, there is Milani now at my Walmart and I found funny that the female working there would say to me "Hey, we got new make up and some cool nail polish from Milani, have you seen it?" That's awesome!
But anyways, let's scroll down and see the swatches.

WHITE - this is just a plain regular white. Nothing special to say here besides that it's hard to find a good creme white with good formula and this one is really good.

VIOLET DASH - an adorable purple creme.

BLACK SWIFT - it's black :) not all the black polish are good though but this one is amazing. It's saturated and like Nutella in my bread - yeah I love Nutella a lot.

RAPID CHERRY - great cherry cream red. I am in love with how pigmented these polishes are. You sure could do a one coat.

HOT PINK FRENZY - it's a bright coral pink with some shimmer to it ( the only one in this collection). It's my favorite one! This is absolutely Spring, hand down. It would look great on a pedi.

YELLOW WHIZ - this is a very basic yellow and that makes it pretty. Again I am very happy with the formula on these polishes. And consider I am not big on yellows. But this one is perfect from color to formula.
JIFFY ORANGE - this is a very bright electric orange. It's not neon but ir is super orange. This is the bold I mentioned above.
FAST FUSCHIA - and last but not least, a creme fuchsia pink. I think Milani new how to name these color very well cause they already do the color description.

Now let me know what your favorite ones are. Have you got any of these? Are you going to?

For those that  follow me on Facebook, yes I am gonna be having a giveaway with lots of goodies. So, stay tuned and leave me comments here and on my fb page :)
