Happy St. Patrick's with China Glaze Glittering Garland

Pin It  Last night I pulled a bunch of green polishes to pick one for my St. Patrick's mani. Oh that was so hard. Some many pretty shades!
I find myself liking green a lot more than I imagined. I took a pic of my green stash and posted on Facebook. Got some suggestions there but I had to go with an untried one. I don't know about you but I tend to buy polish and they sit there for months until I can finally use them. Sad :( I know.
I picked China Glaze Glittering Garland, a forest green packed with green and gold micro glitters. It's gorgeous!! I know the name sounds so xmas but I had to wear that one. I actually got that polish from Sally's Beauty clearance basket for only $1.99 or $2.50, something like that, last December. I am so glad I did cause I remember back then I was hesitating on getting it or not. Dumb, yes I am. But not that much cause I brought it home right? Yay!
So back to today's mani and scrolling down to the pictures you will see what I came up with for St. Patrick's. Some stamping and some free hand strips.

This is my left hand (photo hand)

And my right hand that I haven never shown here before. So awkward to take picture of it. I am all crooked. But there you have, the designs. Big 4 leaves and little ones.

And for you to see the beautiful China Glaze Glittering Garland by itself ... I kinda regret of doing the nail art over it cause that polish is super awesome by itself, isn't it?

Swirl Gourmet Laté Chocolate with Milani Teddy Brown and Milani Dark Coffee

Pin It I'm so loving the Milani's new colors for this Spring 2012! Not only because of the colors but their formula are just superb. Great job Milani!!
I had Milani Teddy Brown as my base. I have showed swatches of it previously HERE. I am discovering myself to like brown polish shades. We can do so much with it and play around with nail art always. Colors can really inspire you and also speak out your feelings. When I was working on this mani it was kinda cold outside like I needed my mug file doug with some hot chocolate. I got Milani Dark Coffee and came up with this mani design with some stamping with M63. And guess what? I think I got some gourmet  laté on my nails, don't I? My nails look sooo yummy :)

And here Milani Teddy Brown by itself.

What do you think of this mani? Did you like the combination and how it came out? Leave your thoughts down on the comment bar!

OPI You're Such a Kabuki Queen

Pin It  Like you guys already know I am striving on getting better on my dotting but it's still coming along. Oh, well. I will share anyways. The only thing I am really concerned here is that I got a new computer and my images on this computer look sooooo bright. I'm terrified. Do this pictures below look super bright pink almost neon? I don't know what to do :( Please leave me a comment down below.

Below is the base color OPI You're Such a Kabuki Queen. It is not this bright in person though. I really hope that bright is only on my computer screen. This shade is softer IRL than I see here.

Milani Silver Stilettos

Pin It  Hey Monday!! Hey Monday with Daylight Savings Time changing. Are you guys excited to tick an hour foward ? I am not :( I love to sleep and that means I need to wake up an hour earlier. Good thing is that we are gonna have long days! I'm so ready for Spring/Summer. It's been cold on and off here with some little snow and bright sun days sometimes.
Hope you guys had a fun weekend! I chilled off with my hubby. He took me to watch The Vow on Friday and John Carter next day. Great movies both of them! Except be prepared for the 2hr shown the John Carter on. But you don't really feel like it cause the movie is just really enjoyable. I also got really sick in my stomach cause of some bad food I ate. I am good now. I thought I was going to die. That's how bad it was. And to top it all I got a call plus a letter saying I got accepted into the school I applied to. I am soooo happy!! well, besides now I have to deal with financial aid and get myself in debt LoL However I think that's worth it and it will pay off down the road. My classes will start in two weeks. I hope I can learn pretty quick how to manage my time and find a gap in between my full time schooling to post my mani pictures here. It will be a challenge for sure!
With my mixed feeling of being excited and overwhelmed to be back in school I am really looking forward to what life has in storage for me though.
But back to my nails to welcome this Monday here I have Milani Silver Stilettos  - I have previously showed swatch of it HERE. And today I stamped some black over it.

To se Milani Silver Stilettos by itself here you have. Two coats of this pretty pigment metallic silver. That polish would also work great for stamping with too. I have to try it ones of this days. I absolutely love to find good pigmented polishes that i can stamp with and that one is one of them.

Priti NYC Fishbone Cactus

Pin It St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner. If you look forward to that fun holiday then stay on this page and see swatches of a pretty cool green I have today for you from Priti NYC. If you haven't heard that name before you should now cause this brand rocks in every single way. First I love that they are a "vegan" company. Totally 3 free and non-toxic. Love the look, the formula, the brush, application. Anyways, read here what Priti NYC itself have to say.

Priti NYC polishes are all completely non-toxic and made without toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DHB) and formaldehyde- all known carcinogenic ingredients. The luxury polishes are fast drying, chip resistant, contain a UV inhibitor, and are extremely durable and glossy. They are also completely safe for use on children and moms-to-be. Available in over 100 different shades including metallics, mattes, bright neons, rich darks, classic nudes, and everything in between, limited color selection due to ecological restraints has officially become a thing of the past.
Since it's launch, the brand has expanded to include products such as soy nail polish remover, a recycled glass nail file, and the Priti Princess nail polish collection. The first line of non-toxic nail polishes for children, Priti Princess nail polishes come in 8ml bottles (as opposed to the 12 ml size of a standard nail polish)- perfect for the hands of tiny fashionistas. The Priti NYC Princess polish collection was named by the company's honorary creative director, Siena- who also happens to be D'Amato's 9 year old daughter.
Priti NYC is very active in working with various charities and events in the community that support both environmental and women's issues. The brand regularly collaborates with other socially conscious companies and charities, including Donna Karan's Urban Zen Foundation, Group for the East End’s Ecofabulous in the Hamptons, and Teens Turning Green to develop a private label polish exclusively for Whole Foods Market.
Priti NYC is also a proud sponser of New York & Miami Fashion Week since 2005.  With the proud pleasure of creating custom nail colors for world-renowned designers runway shows including Donna Karan, Monique Lhuillier, Izaac Mizrahi, Carlos Miele, Tommy Hilfiger, Bebe, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Tuleh, Bahar Shapar, Devi Kroel, Caroline Siekaly, G-Star, Marc Bouwer, Susan Cianciolo, Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, Rachel Roy, Victoria Bartlett, Wayne, Milly, Michon Schur, Issa London, Willow, Yuna Yang, Twinkle, Poko Pano, V Del Sol, Marysia, Vitamin A, and Crystal Jin, among many others.
Priti NYC nail polishes retail price is $12.50 for a  12.6ml/ 0.43 fl. oz bottle. The mini polishes are $10 for a 9ml/0.30 fl. oz bottle. Which isn't too shabby for a "mini" bottle. It's still a lot of polish compared to the mini sizes from other brands. Priti NYC has tons of colors that you can choose from. You can also find other products by Priti NYC on ther website such as nail polish kits, safe nail polish for kids, nail polish remover, cuticle oil, nail files, all the good and healthy stuff for your nail care.

Today I will be showing you Fishbone Cactus an opaque crayon green that dries matte. The finish to me is jelly and for you that like jelly polish this is a great one. I'm just not a huge fan of them cause for this one for example I had to apply 3 coats to get full opacity. It's a gorgeous unique color though. The application is effortless and its flat brush made my job easy. Really like Priti NYC nail polish brush. The bottle on the pictures below is a mini size. Now scroll down and take a look on these.

MATTE FINISH

But if you don't like polishes with a matte finish to it don't worry. Just add a layer of your favorite top coat to make it look shinny and glossy.

GLOSSY FINISH

Then just for fun I wanted to play with that gorgeous green and make it look even better with my favorite stamp design M64 in gold. I have gotten so many compliments of peple asking me " what polish is that?"  " Love that green!" " You nails look so cool!" I think this is a super awesome mani for St. Patrick's Day. It's a great shade of green, it's fun and it welcomes Spring in a bright colorful vibe.

Essie Canyon Coral

Pin It Do you know the feeling when you love a polish so much but you see yourself in a hard spot where you need to describe its color? Yeah, here I am. That akward moment. Essie Canyon Coral is a bright and cream color with red/pink undertones. Hard to describe it and even photograph but I loveee this color. I remember last month I sold my extra bottle. But just cause I had to do some clean up and make room in my stash. Do you do that too? When you buy a color that you like so much you get a back up bottle? I need to stop doing that LoL
But back to this beautiful summery color ... I had 2 effortless coats of that pretty. Love the bright but yet not in your face coral. I can wait for Spring/Summer. I amin Arizona right now and I feel like it's Spring here. Loving the weather :)

The photo below looks totally different from the photo above but that's how it looks too me. It keeps changing how red or pink/orange the color is. Love it! That's the type of coral I like,

Happy Friday! Have a wonderful weekend you all :)

Milani Signature Gold + Milani Dark Coffee = Polka Dots

Pin It Thank goodness for nail art when you don't like a certain color. Certain types of gold don't look good on my skin color. For that reason I have to give the polish some love and do some mix and match. I grabbed my dotting tools and dotted  away. I still need to pratice cause I can't manage free hand really well. But I think that mani looks really darn cute. I used to dfferent sizes of dotting tool. For the gold I used Milani Signature Gold. I have already shown swatches of it HERE previously. All of those Milani polish are really good and they are coming out this Spring 2012. Love the colors.

If you are wondering what's the base color here is a picture of it by itself. A very rich cream brown with 2 effortless coats called Milani Dark Coffee. I'm really happy with the result of that mani and the colors went great together. That moment when you can't star at your nails :)
