OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It

Sorry I've slow here on my blog. The main reason is my lovely computer that freezes now more often than ever. That drives me crazy. A simple thing that would take me few minutes to do now takes for ever.
I'm taking some time now to post this before Xmas comes and the Holiday Season is over.
What I have here is OPI  Swimsuit... Nailed It! I put that polish on my desk to be used but I really didn't know I could pull off something "Xmasshy" with it later.
I would describe this color, which its name seems very appropriate to it, like a  blue swimsuit from the 80's. Such an electric and vibrant blue. That color made me miss my childhood. So many memories. Isn't this pretty? I love it!

Then it passed a couple of days and I though of adding something  more wintery holiday like and I came up with snow and a snowflake BM14 on my middle finger. I topped everything off with Southern Lights and oh woww it feels cold just to look at it!

Pink Wednesday - Nicole by OPI Kim-pletely in Love + All Kendall-ed Up

Okay, I still have half hour before it's midnight. So I guess my Pink Wednesday is still ok to post right?
Oh I have been s busy it's been hard to keep up with blogging but ... here you guys have it! I posted earlier on fb asking for suggestions for this mani and the two girls who left a comment asked for hot pink and dots. Here is my take. Hope you guys like it. Well, I just hate those Nicole by OPI bottles. Hate them!

The hot pink dots is NOPI All Kendall-ed Up from the Kardashian Collection that has been just release and it can be found exclusively at Walmart.

That light shimmer pink that I chose to use as my base color is NOPI Kim-pletely in Love. Super pretty and lovely and I needed 3 coats to achieve its color. So, what do you guys think?

Monday Mani - Happy Halloween - Color Club Wham!Pow! + Nicole by OPI Black Texture

Welcome Monday and Happy Halloween!!
This is gonna be super quick. Sorry, I couldn't be more creative with a mani for the Halloween day. I was wearing  some cool mani the past days though. If you want to them them out go HERE
For the mani of today I had like 10 min only to do this and I knew I couldn't do a more elaborated mani. I grabbed a pumpkin neon color from Color Club Wham!Pow! and used a black shatter polish from Nicole by OPI Black Texture.

Sorry for the picture above. I had such a hard time photographing that color Color Club Wham!Pow!.The real color is more like a traffic neon orange cone. My camera usually has a hard time getting corals, oranges.
And hey, I have to go :) I hope you had a great weekend. Did you get to go to any fun Halloween party?

Halloween Series - Dripping Blood Mani

Wowww Friday goodness!!! Are you guys going to any Halloween party out there?
For my Halloween Series I have here a Dripping Blood Nail Art. I can not take credit for it. But I also do not know who to credit to cause I have seen this design all over the net. And here is my take. I think this is a super awesome mani for Halloween. Don't you? My husband hates blood and he always wants to see what I did on my nails. Guess his reaction on this one? lololo He paled out (does that expression exist?). He didn't like. But " yeah, it's cute". Ohhhh, evil laugh right now!
For this mani I used a dotting tool but you can use a tooth pick or any pointed object. A white polish and a vampy red polish. This is a video I found on youtube that shows how I did my nails. Except that you really need to be fast on doing the drips cause the polish will form blobs on the point of your dotting tool. Click HERE to see the video. It's really easy do do it!!

And if you are wondering what I used for my white here you have it. This is OPI Alpine Snow my second favorite white polish for painting my nails (I have favorites for stamping so that's why the difference). But anyways my favorite white polish for painting nails is Jordana White. But for this OPI I had a good experience too. I recommend.

What do you think of my dripping blood nail art? I hope you like it as much as I do :)
And remember the Lacquered Me Halloween Contest ends this coming Sunday Oct. 30th. Remember to LIKE your favorite manicure to cast your vote HERE

Pink Wednesday - Chapel Of Love Sponged

Thank goodness I am doing so much better but yeah ... still using the Neti pot thingy. I know, its gross. But it has saved me lately to give me some relief of my sinus.
I think you can tell I am way better today. Look at my pink wednesday for today! I am very proud of myself with such a fancy mani. I did some sponging and some stamping over it. I am loving this look! Now to the pictures cause it's late wednesday and I promised I'd post this before midnight.

And if you want to know how I did this... I painted my nails with OPI Chapel of Love. A very pretty warm pink with fine gold shimmer to it. Then I sponged with 2 tones of purple then fuschia from the tips to the half of the nail. And after that did the stamping with my favorite black ever for stamping, the $99 Wet n'Wild Black Creme.

Some Sparkle on OPI Moon Over Mumbai

Week kinda went fast. Hope it did for you too!
I know that I have some untried polishes I want to share with you guys. And I promise I'll be doing it so. An issue I am battlingnow is that my collection is somewhat growing and I have no place anymore to put my babies. I know I have posted HERE before about differents choices of storaging nail polishes but I need to decide what's a best option for me. I know. I still itch on choosing the best way to display them. But anyways ...
What I have today for you guys is a simple beautiful color. I think this color is kinda getting me into the Fall mood everyone is into. I know it's not that dark but it's gray. This is OPI Moon Over Mumbai. It's a pale pearl gray. It's so pretty.

I then decided to add a punch of sparkle to it with Nicole by OPI  Make U Smile - oh how I hate their bottles | : ( Ironic name for a polish with such bottle shape. Those bottles doesn't make me smile at all. Seriously!!! But back to the mani and the glitter - laugh.

PS: Those picture suck. Sorry! I must get a camera and stop using my iPhone for those pictures :( But where is the money for me to buy a camera just to photograph my nubs? It's on my x-mas list. Any suggestions?

Nicole by OPI Make a Comet-ment - Nicóle by O.P.I Make a Comet-ment

First of all pictures posted here don't do justice at all of the real color of this nail polish. Because it's a holographic polish it's just so hard to photograph but I tried to do my best on my iPhone camera skills lololo
What I have here is Nicóle by OPI Coment-ment. It's a holographic multicolor glitter e a base gray color glitter. When I saw thhis bottle for the first time I was like "OMG, it's a must have it if you don't have the GOSH Holographic". Well, not that I would say that this from NOPI could be a dupe for GOSH which I would absolutely disagree. Becasue it's not as pigmented as GOSH Holographic is ( I don't have a GOSH my own but I have seen it in person). But in case you don't have, can't find or afford a  GOSH you should totally get this one from NOPI. See the pictures below now to see this beauty.

INDOOR under artificial light : it looks just like a silver glitter but in person IT IS NOT LIKE THAT.

Then I took a very upclose picture of the bottle so you guys could see it better. It's close but it's even more colorful than what the picture shows.

Then I decided to wait for daylight and shot some on purpose blurry picture so I could have more lucky with catching up the colors my eyes see on the camera. And ok, I take that.

And now we can see the sparkly I am talking about.

And here too. If you wanna click this picture to see it bigger. Do it and see if you fall in love for this polish. Cause I did. It's a must have it in your collection. Except i have a hate realationship with Nicole by OPI bottles. They are funky and totally throws me off when I think of getting one of them.

And explaining the picture above: that was shot outdoors with daylight. When I let the focus work then I can't get the camera to catch all the multicolor shimmer of the polish. That's why on the pictures above I had to shot with no focus. I guess the camera lens can't focus on the colors but just on the metalic silver glitter.

What are your thoughts on this polish based on my pictures?

Pink Wednesdays - The Gold & the Beautiful

For today's pink wednesday I have something it reminds me of an indian sari. You know those beautiful indian dresses they have. I am just not sure if I like this OPI pink shade. It's a pinkesh/salmon color. It's shimmer and to get an opaque look you need 3 coats. At least I did. I'm not sure if I will keep this polish. Probably is going to my swap/sell list. Then I decided on going sponging with a gold Wet n' Wild super glittery shimmer. And here you have it:

Gold Petites

I revisited this beauty from OPI Hong Kong Sunrise.

And then I had gotten a gold glitter from the new collection of Petites, 577 Petites 24K Gold, the other day. I decided to put over OPI. I wasn't expecting the gold glitter to be so strong on just one coat. I love it! It has lots of gold and golden orange glitter in it. But you know what I don't know if it goes well with the orange underneath it though. I don't think they go well together. Next time I'll throw that over a black base polish. I bet it will be a lot better.

A Hit of Mint

I so wanted to put my hands in one of those mint nail polishes. That was my first experience with Nicole OPI. I like the brush and their formula. Easy application. But at the same time the bottle has an interesting design it makes it also annoying to storage. Oh well, I guess it makes it unique. Love the color anyways!!
