NYC Burgundy + Nubar 2010

Oh weekend how I love you!!
This weekend I decided to wear something in a Xmas mood type a thing. I picked NYC Burgundy, a deep  burgundy metalic red. Love the color but I'm not a fan of that line of NYC, the Long Wearing collection.

I have wanting to try my Nubar 2010 forever and never did and thought it's time for some untrieds. I topped my Burgundy manicure with Nubar 2010 a super pretty flakie polish. Too bad my camera couldn't get it right and there is no sun outside for me to get that polish right in pic.

You can see it a little better on the picture above right?
What are some nail polish colors you like to layer Nubar 2010 over? I'd love to know your favorites :) Happy Weekend everyone :)

REMINDER: Tomorrow will be the last day to submit your Xmas/ Holiday manicure picture to the contest. Send you picture to contact.lacqueredme@gmail.com And for more details CLICK HERE.

NYC Color Prince Street + PURE ICE Busted

Purple purple. I'm starting to develop a love relationship with the purple super purple color. I'm very into light purple, lilac, lavender though. Here I have NYC Color Prince Street, a good 2 coat violet purple with a bit of shimmer to it.

Then I tried some PURE ICE Busted as a top coat for it. It's a purpleish somewhat holo sheer polish. I could not capture that really well in pictures but I can tell you it is a must have. Really really pretty!!!

What do you think? Purple itself or with the top coat on it?

NYC Color East Village + Wet n' Wild Kaleidoscope

I am here always saying how much I love NYC Quick Dry polishes and all. But today I have one I do not like it. NYC Color East Village, a sheer aqua blue with green undertones. I do not like the color nor either the formula. That formula is just soooo sheer and liquidy. I had to put 3 coats and still I feel like I needed to add an extra one to achieve its full color. But oh well, I still love NYC polishes. This was the only one I've found so far not liking it.

I decided to try something to make it wearable sponging some Wet n' Wild Kaleidoscope glitter on the tips and uhmmmm I am not sure if I did any good to it lolololo

NYC Bowery Black

When you are traveling is just so hard to keep up with your mani. Here I want to share a quick manicure I did while I was on my trip.
I always bring my polish parafernalia along with me but where is the time to sit down and do my nails? Where? I just had so many people to visit with and places to go to that is almost impossible on catching up changing your already chipped polish. But this time I managed to change my polish doing a  quick mani. And here it is. I used NYC Bowery Black a black gunmetal cream polish with lots of pretty silver shimmer in it. Just pretty!
Do you guys own any NYC, the Quick Dry ones? How do you like them. I simply love and own almost every color from that line. They have an affordable price and the quality is absolutely superb.
Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend guys! Thanks for stopping by.

My Thanksgiving Mani

I was neglecting blogging but just cause i did not had the time to upload pictures to my computer and then here. It's late but it's finally here and I'm updating my blog. Hope you guys still enjoy seen my pictures even if they are belated to its date. Hope you all had a fun and safe Thanksgiving though :) I kept myself busy making yummy rolls and a sweet potato cassarole with marshmallows to mingle with family.
Anyways, watch what I had on my nails!

What I did was I started with my color base being NYC Fifth Avenue a shimmer orange cooper polish. Love the NYC nail polishes. Easy application and beautiful colors.

Then I started playing with some sponging using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Bronze Ablaze. I knew I wanted to do something over it so I kinda did the sponging in a deliberate way.

Then yeah, I found what I was looking for, leaves and leaves. I absolutely love this mani. Hope you guys love it as much as I do.

NYC Color Pier 17 + Wet n' Wild Cougar Attack

Oh, NYC polishes... How I love them. Right in my budget if I want new colors and quality is superb. Do you own any NYC polishes? If not you should give it a try. Love everything about it!
Today I have reached to a bottle of NYC Pier 17. Beautiful royal blue shimmer. The formula is thinner than usual but I did my usual 2 coats for full coverage.

The I knew I wanted to do something to it but didn;t have time for stamping or anythign like it so I tried to pair that up with Wet n' Wild Cougar Attack, the gorgeous copper glitter I was lemming from the On the Prowl Collection. I had to swap to get that baby cause there was no where for it to be founf by me around here. Anyways, I'm so happy I have it. Kinda love that copper over the blue. It's different and I like it! Do you ? Or is it weird?

Monday PaA - Animal Print/ Animal

So I really you hope you had a better weekend than mine. I was sick in bed. My period came out killing me almost literally. My whole body hurt and I couldn't enjoy the weekend. I went to a rodeo though. I am not a cowgirl. But I was looking for something to do to drift my thought of having pain to other things. I couldn't stay for too long (too bad cause it could have been so fun). I got to see the little 8-13 year old boys to rid mini bulls. That's so crazy! And the funniest party and the best for the guys I bet was the bikini barrel race. If you are not familiar with that neither I was until then. Girls in bikinis (young to old, slim to fat) ride a  horse who runs like crazy racing around barrel in the field. Those girls, even the ladies are fenomenal. I could never ride a horse like that.
But anyways, I tried to find fun but my body was just a jerk to itself :( Sad.
I was affraid I wasn't able to do my assignment with the PaA wich theme's for today was Animal Print/ Animals. The first thought it came to me was of zebra, leopard or the famous lady bug you can see all over the internet. The I thought. That's too obvious. Most of the people would do that. I am not trying to compete or anything but just to challenge myself in make me do something else. For this design I came up with I must tell i can't take credit for it. I remember that I had seen that somewhere I don't recall. It was even before I got into stamping. So if you are seen this design and you did it in the past ---> the credit is all yours. Just shoot me an email. But the lady bug's eyes are mine. She looks totally real, doesn't she?
So, there you have it. I'll come back tomorrow!

Monday PaA - Tape

Hey lovelies? Did you have a great weekend? This was my second busy weekend. Love it. I had my favorite sister-in-law over with her family. They drove 13hrs jsut to visit us here. We had a blast. So much laughter. So much fun and gossip. Love it! They left yesterday and all of a sudden the house got so scary silent. I miss my nephews already.
But it's all right. I hope I get to see them soon.
And because today is Monday and every monday me and my FB group friends have a theme, here we have TAPE mani for today!
I had to cute my nails down. Because I had visitors I did not had time to take care fo my nails. I was at the kitchen baking and cooking. But here I am taking care on my finger nails.
I just used scotch tape for this mani and gray tones to it. I used Essence, China Glaze and NYC for that look. My base color was from Essence. I love Essence nail polish. Love the formula. It's just so opaque I just needed one coat for a good coverage. I have sme pictures of itself down below.
I am so excited for this Monday Tape Mani. I can't wait to see everyone's. If you want me to see yours send me the link to my email. Links on the comments will not be published.
Let me know what you guys think of this mani. I am also trying to improve my pictures and maybe start using just a simple watermark. Just don't like to spend time editing.

Gray me up on my Sidewalk

I am having a great week so far. Hope you too!! But you know what? TGIF always :)
My sister-in-law is here with her family and I am gonna have some fun with my nephews this weekend.
Here I have to you guys a mani I did last week. I am in such love for grays lately. I think they are a "go color". It's the new black for me. It goes with everything and it's so classic. This bottle of Sidewalker NYC is almost half of it and I better buy another one. That cream opaque gray has a special place in my heart.
I then decided to play with it and did some stamping and put some franken glitter over it. I used one of those Chrome Pens from Sally Hansen. If you are looking for somehting really good to do your stamp I really really recommend you to look for those chrome pens. They usually are $8 dollars. I know it's a little expensive but you know what? Totally worth it. This is the one I used it and HERE you can find more colors. I so like them! Go get yourself one. I don't recommend those chrome pens to paint your whole nails. I just think the brushes coming out of  a pen doesn't feel right for me + that polish dries superrr fast. Other than that it's a thumbs up, a gotta have it for stamping. You won't regret I promise. What do you think and what color are you wearing for this weekend?

Monday PAa - Fruit

Oh I had such a good weekend. Hang out with my friends Nani and Lis and her baby boy who has the most cute eyelash ever. Oh boy, I envy his eyelashes. Seriously! The Friday night I had some friends from Utah over. I cooked for them but ... uhmmm wasn't happy with myself. But it's ok. On Saturday Nani came over with her hubby, brother-in-law and Mabel and we had a blast. I even did her nails. That was the first time I had ever done other people's nails. It turned out really cute. I'll post a picture later.
For now, you don't even need to scroll down to see that supposed to be kiwi-mani lololo
The theme from PAa group this week was FRUIT.
Seriously? I did not like. I'll need to try it again so I can feel proud of myself.
I attempted this ugly kiwi as you can see. For me it looks like a smashed spider on a green floor  - laugh. I am so bad doing free hand designs on my nails. I should have done some stamping you know. It's always safe ... at least for me. But I promise I will try it again and do better. For now that's what I could do.

Pink Wednesday

I had this lavender color on my rack and thought it would look really cute. I didn't have a lot of time to work on it so I just did some stamping real quick on my ring finger and thumb. If you are looking for an affordable lavender color you totally should get this one NYC Lincoln Square Lavender. It retails for $1.71 plus taxes at most of the stores like Walmart and Target. NYC is not paying me to write about them but because I love those polishes and they so match with my budget here it is.

Matte flowers

This mani just happened. I was using NYC and decided to play with stamping again and mix colors around. Then I applied a matte top coat. I didn't like this manicure and as soon as I was done I cleaned it off.

Like I am always saying, I love the NYC nail polishes ... specially these quick dry ones. They are my favorites. I love the formula and love the brush. When I use them I hardly need to clean it off afterwords. That's how great the brushes are. I spotted the NYC Murray Hill Mauve
and had to get it when I saw it. It's a very discret shimmer polish. I like the wine color to it. I am just having issues and trying differente ways and lights to show the colors as real as possible but so far I have had no success whatsoever. I've tried to use my big Nikon but it's just to heavy for me to hold with just one hand. Tried to get the grip off of it but still. I also gave a try on my old broken Sony which used to have a great macro setting but yeah, it's broken. And the last two pics below are from my other old Sony. I am still using my iPhone to take my nail pictures. It's just so easy. But I want to figure out a good alternative to do better nail pictures. I'll just keep trying. Anyways, if you are reading this and want to give me some tips please let me know. They are very welcome.
