China Glaze The Hunger Games

Pin It I am so behind on my posts. I am trying to work things out with my little time. It's been hard for me to swatch, then edit my pictures, then post and write on my posts here. Life has been super crazy busy.
But anyways, this mani is from a while back when the movie The Hunger Games first came out. This was what I used :)
There were the only two polishes I got from China Glaze The Hunger Games collection. I didn't like all of their colors or either I had them or could find easy dupes for some of those.
here I have China Glaze Luxe and Lush over China Glaze Smoke and Ashes. What a combination! Love it!

And below is China Glaze Smoke and Ashes by itself. Too bad you can't see the green/goldish very much on the pictures. But it's very pretty in person.

What colors do you have from that collection?Do you have those 2 above? How do you like them?

Happy St. Patrick's with China Glaze Glittering Garland

Pin It  Last night I pulled a bunch of green polishes to pick one for my St. Patrick's mani. Oh that was so hard. Some many pretty shades!
I find myself liking green a lot more than I imagined. I took a pic of my green stash and posted on Facebook. Got some suggestions there but I had to go with an untried one. I don't know about you but I tend to buy polish and they sit there for months until I can finally use them. Sad :( I know.
I picked China Glaze Glittering Garland, a forest green packed with green and gold micro glitters. It's gorgeous!! I know the name sounds so xmas but I had to wear that one. I actually got that polish from Sally's Beauty clearance basket for only $1.99 or $2.50, something like that, last December. I am so glad I did cause I remember back then I was hesitating on getting it or not. Dumb, yes I am. But not that much cause I brought it home right? Yay!
So back to today's mani and scrolling down to the pictures you will see what I came up with for St. Patrick's. Some stamping and some free hand strips.

This is my left hand (photo hand)

And my right hand that I haven never shown here before. So awkward to take picture of it. I am all crooked. But there you have, the designs. Big 4 leaves and little ones.

And for you to see the beautiful China Glaze Glittering Garland by itself ... I kinda regret of doing the nail art over it cause that polish is super awesome by itself, isn't it?

China Glaze First Class Ticket + Essie Shine of The Times

Friday yayyyy!
I am so looking foward to this weekend. I had quite a busy week. I'm not complaining. It was actually very productive though and I feel happy about that. Sorry I don't have enought time to be blogging but I am always on my facebook page as soon as I can. Also check my LM email often and am busy answering you guys' emails. I had tons feedback from my last post about Jordana's new collection. I do like that glitter collection too: price, quality and variety. Answering again what everybody asks "Where can I find them?" You will be able to find Jordana polishes at Kmart and/or on their website (all of them).
For today I have a combo that I can't stop staring at. Flakies have been quite popular and lots of companies have been releasing them here and there. For the Holidays last year Essie came up with a fun collection including Essie Shine of the Times. When I saw press releases of it and a picture from the beauty event in Las Vegas last summer I knew I had to have that one. And here it is. It's a beautiful flake. Looks like Nubar 2010 but it's a bit chunkier and fuller. A bit thicker if that means more flakies, I am on board. If you have a nail polish collection you have to have at least one bottle of flakie. That gives a whole different look to any boring polish you might have.

 Essie Shine of the Times

A macro shot. That way you can see what I am talking about.

And this is China Glaze First Class Ticket. That is what I have under Essie. That is a pretty violet ink purple full of super fine shimmer. You kinda have to move your fingernails to be able to see that. Pretty cool!

Remember that you still can submit your Valentine Manicure Photo to the Nail Art Contest until this Sunday. You're not gonna miss out on that, are you? To see details on how to submit your entry please CLICK HERE.

Comparison Sally Hansen Nude Now x China Glaze Classic Camel

Friday is here!! And we are gonna have a chilli and windy weekend over here. I don't have any particular plans other than get my mug out the cupboard for some hot chocolate. Uhmmm love this time of the year!
And my post today is specially for Kellie, a girl from one of the groups on facebook. She was asking for some comparisons between Sally Hansen Nude Now x China Glaze Classic Camel. When I read that I instantly said to myself  " Oh, they are totally different in every single way possible." But I understand that if you don't have those polishes you wanna see swatches side by side no matter what. And also I couldn't refuse to do my first comparison post here on my blog right?
Kellie here you have it girl! And hope you enjoy the swatches that I did just for you :)

Sally Hansen - Nude Now is one of my favorite nudes. It's a cream nude with pinkish undertones. I don't wear it very often but it's a great color to change your old polish and go without worring much about cleaning. I like it a lot cause it really blends with my skin color.

China Glaze - Classic Camel is more a beige than a nude in my opnion. It's more yellow and there is a fine gold shimmer to it. I don't own many China Glazes myself. Probably cause I hardly ever pay full price for my nail polishes. When I bought this polish I grabbed it cause I loved the color on the bottle plus it was on clearance. When I put it on I was like " Nahhhh"  it looks terrible on my skin color. The polish a little to yellowish for me. But I kept though cause I like the color... on the bottle lololo

Now some pictures of the colors with its bottle. So you can agree with me THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT!

Hope you all enjoyed my first comparison post. And if you want me to do one for you please contact at contact.lacqueredme@gmail.com or on the tab CONTACT ME on the right side bar of your monitor. If I have the polishes you are asking I will be glad to swatch for you if I alredy haven't before.

Thanks for reading!!

Monday PaA - Tape

Hey lovelies? Did you have a great weekend? This was my second busy weekend. Love it. I had my favorite sister-in-law over with her family. They drove 13hrs jsut to visit us here. We had a blast. So much laughter. So much fun and gossip. Love it! They left yesterday and all of a sudden the house got so scary silent. I miss my nephews already.
But it's all right. I hope I get to see them soon.
And because today is Monday and every monday me and my FB group friends have a theme, here we have TAPE mani for today!
I had to cute my nails down. Because I had visitors I did not had time to take care fo my nails. I was at the kitchen baking and cooking. But here I am taking care on my finger nails.
I just used scotch tape for this mani and gray tones to it. I used Essence, China Glaze and NYC for that look. My base color was from Essence. I love Essence nail polish. Love the formula. It's just so opaque I just needed one coat for a good coverage. I have sme pictures of itself down below.
I am so excited for this Monday Tape Mani. I can't wait to see everyone's. If you want me to see yours send me the link to my email. Links on the comments will not be published.
Let me know what you guys think of this mani. I am also trying to improve my pictures and maybe start using just a simple watermark. Just don't like to spend time editing.
