Rimmel

Last week RIMMEL cosmetics was giving a $2 off coupon on their FB page. I am a big coupon girl too and got the coupon before it would be gone.I didn't really know what I was going to buy or if I was even going to use the coupon but oh well, doesn't hurt to just print it right?  Then I went a Walgreens close to my house and spotted the RIMMEL nail polishes that were on clearance for $2. Do you know what that meant? That I could use my c$2 off coupon and score the polish for FREE jsut having to pay tax. Sweet!!! I had 6 of those coupons cause you could print 2 coupons per computer and I used all the help from the computers around me. Ok, so done with my polish score story, here are few pictures of one of the polishes I got.
What I have here is RIMMEL English Rose. It's an opaque rose soil color kind of thing. It reminds me of the color of the mountains in Sedona,AZ.
I took pics in differents lights and positions so you guys can have an idea how the color looks like. I'll soon do some swatches with the other colors I got.

Blue Sally Hansen

I tried for the first time to risk on some free hand art on my nails. Don't know if I am in love with it but it looks for sure. I used an opaque baby blue from Sally Hansen Blue-Away. Probably it's just me but these opaque colors specially from Sally Hansen are really thick and dry out so fast that I have a really hard time applying it. They ust be good for stamping. I should try that out sometime.
When Is tarted painting with that blue I thought of wearing it by itself with no stamping or over color on it. But because it came out with some imperfection ( at my taste because I know I am not 100% great doing my nails ). The I got some tape and painted half diagonal with a Wet n'Wild Metallica, an used my dotting tool to do the dots. For the white stripe I used the RIMMEL french white tip brush.

PS: I am still testing different ways to take my nail pictures. Do you have any suggestions? I wanted them to look true to the color.

Essie brights

Summer is coming slowlyover here. It's been warm lately but it's be windy and overcast sometimes. However, I am so excited for summer. I am thrilled to wear summer colors on my nails and clothes. This shade of red/orange Essie is really bright yet beautiful. It's an opaque red. the formula is just perfect and easy to apply. Usually opaques from Essie tend to be a little thick and streaky. But this one surprised. I will definetely wear that color on my toes. Well, my big toe nail just needs to grow out. I had a little problem with it last year and it's still growing out. It's such a bummer cause I really like to paint my toes specially when spring/summer is here. But anyways, here are pics of my Essie Enuf is Enuf swatch for you.

My friend said it looks like Hawaiian stuff

This was one of those mani that you start with a color and just go playing around with things. And I like it. I was trying for the first time the color Sand Tropez by Essie and then I thought I could use some color on it. Decided then to pratice a little more with the designs and tried some other polishes until I found the Barielles one Wool You Marry Me that worked on the stamp just wonderful. My friend Cris says it resembles Hawaiian stuff but I think it reminds me of capuccino - even though I am not a coffee drinker.
